About
God wrote a book. Shouldn’t you know what it says? Route 66 Ministries is so named in reference to the 66 books of the Bible. The ministry is dedicated to encouraging people to encounter God through reading and understanding the Bible in chronological order. To that end, Route 66 Ministries has published The Chronological Word Truth Life Bible series, a unique chronological Bible that is easier to read because it reduces repetition and gives clarity to difficult passages and events.
Route 66 Ministries is a non-denominational, evangelical ministry founded in 2011 by C. Austin Tucker, a writer, editor, and teacher with a passion for God and his Word. She holds a Master’s degree in Biblical Studies and plans to pursue a Doctorate in Biblical Studies.
Route 66 Ministries believes the following:
1. God. There is no God but one: the infinite Designer, Creator, and Sustainer of all existence. God’s nature is triune—three perfect and eternal persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—who are one in being as well as in purpose.
2. Jesus the Christ. As the image of the invisible God, Jesus is fully God. He took upon himself our nature, being conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for the sin of the world. As stated in 1 Corinthians 15:3-4: Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures. He was buried, and he was raised on the third day, according to the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven, where he intercedes on our behalf as the ultimate High Priest. He will come again at a time unknown to us, and he will set up His kingdom and judge the quick and the dead.
3. The Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the divine third Person of the Trinity, coequal with the Father and the Son. The Holy Spirit convicts men of their sin and regenerates those who are lost. The Holy Spirt indwells believers and empowers them for godly living and spiritual service.
4. The Bible. The Bible is a “God-breathed” revelation. It is verbally inspired and completely without error in its original writings. While God supernaturally superintended the writing of the Bible, that writing nevertheless reflects the words and literary styles of its individual human authors. The Bible is the final authority in all matters of doctrine and faith—above all human authority. It is just as relevant today as when it was originally penned.
